Cardiofaciocutaneous (CFC) syndrome is a multiple congenital anomaly disorder characterized by a distinctive facial appearance, heart defects, and mental retardation. BRAF is the most common gene responsible for the disorder as it is found in about 75% of affected individuals. MAP2K1 is responsible for about 25% and KRAS for 2-3%. Most cases of CFC are sporadic.
