Aicardi-Goutières syndrome is a highly variable disorder mainly affecting the brain, skin and immune system which usually manifests in infancy. It is considered an early-onset encephalopathy associated with significant intellectual and physical disability. There are seven known Aicardi-Goutieres genes, all of which are included in our Aicardi-Goutieres Panel (AKA AGS Panel). Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome is also known as AGS syndrome. Genetic testing for the AGS genes can be ordered for an individual gene or for the full AGS Panel.
